I'm very pleased to read that plans to build a school teaching "creationism" which is basically the rejection of Darwin's theory of evolution and its replacement with a bible based "explanation" have been rejected.
This addle-headed lunacy has been gaining ground for some time in the USA - a country which is already far too much in thrall to the "religious right" in which term I do include G.W.Bush, and I do not relish anything that could turn the UK into a facsimile of that benighted land.
People most certainly should be free to believe anything they wish - but that doesn't mean it should be rammed down the throats of others, especially the young and impressionable.
